Big week fully of quality tunes! Local production from Bournemouth duo Oliver Knight and Hugo Jones.

My stand out track was the exceptional new track from French outfit 'Strange Fruit'...really nice use of arpeggio.

DJ FAIL!

Now I'm not posting this merely to poke fun or laugh or cry at the mistakes...but merely because its happened to me before and I take some comfort out of these superstars 'mucking up'.

Now I've worked at clubs which have a plug switch on the dancefloor...therefore the sound being killed wasn't my fault. However I have also been involved in 'DJ FAIL!' situations where it was my fault. Mostly related to laptop technology... although someone has pulled down my fader (that's not a euphemism!).

In this quite honest documentary Max tells us the story of how he became famous and how it used to be for him. He was the one asking for autographs!

Worth a look if you are an aspiring DJ/Producer.

The OP-1

The OP-1 has been the talk of the producer ('I love things that are really cool') town since its debut on the SHM video.

And although its a great piece of kit the manufacturers haven't grasped the art of selling it via Youtube.

This guy does a much better job.

If they are not careful this thing is going to end up looking like the Pacemaker. And no one wants to look like Nathan Barley...do they?

Having only the review to base my opinion on + it is out of stock I think its a great bit of kit and it looks sturdy but there are alternatives. Although having said that the 16 hours battery life and the design is very, very attractive.

 Check out this amazing nightclub...phenomenal lighting. These LED's are sensational.

It looks great although perhaps too bright at time, but could this become much more widespread. I love it (if you couldn't already tell!)
